Guided tour of the exhibition “Giacometti/ Halilaj. We built a fantastic palace at night…”

Presented at the Giacometti Institute, this exhibition brings together the works of contemporary visual artist Petrit Halilaj and those of painter, sculptor and draughtsman Alberto Giacometti. Marked by his childhood in a Kosovo at war, Petrit Halilaj developed a practice where individual and collective stories are woven to envisage spaces of freedom not devoid of play and lightness. Like Giacometti in certain periods, children’s drawings have nourished his work, and open up a dreamlike and even magical horizon to sculpture.
