Edi Dubien, a French self-taught artist born in 1963, is known for his works of profound poetry and moving humanity, which explore themes related to identity, childhood and the relationship between humans and nature. In his works, children with melancholic eyes, often painted animals and plants develop relationships of exchange, cooperation, metamorphosis and, certainly, consolation.
Gently – which is certainly what we need most in the face of an increasingly normalizing and divisive world – Edi Dubien celebrates otherness and the freedom to be oneself. A hymn to love and life.
