Visit to the exhibition “A sidestep towards the centre”
Private tour of the exhibition “A sidestep towards the centre”
Tour in French by Philippe Baudelocque (artist of the exhibition)
Invited to set up shop at the Drawing House, the artist Philippe Baudelocque has created an immersive and protean site-specific work on all the walls of the Drawing Hall.
A sidestep towards the center is the synthesis of the artist’s past and current research. The white line connects dots on the black walls of the exhibition space, forming constellations that take shape. Parableivia or symbol, each drawing is a mental projection of the artist into his favorite subjects: the place of humans on Earth and in the Universe, extraterrestrial life, the interaction between the different kingdoms or Knowledge.
In parallel to his studio work, the artist is invited around the world in order to make the sensitive visible. Space is at the heart of his approach; From each place emerges a new poetry and a new challenge. At the Drawing House, Philippe Baudelocque invites you to take the time to contemplate, admire and find yourself in nature. In this way, everyone can find their center, their inner self, the one that allows us all to live in harmony and symbiosis with our space.
The total work Un pas de côté vers le centre is a new and evolving installation. Throughout the year, the artist continues his research and embellishes his work according to his finds.
There are more worlds than the one you hold in your hand.
