We are thrilled to feature Rebecca Salter PRA as a featured artist, following several group exhibitions at the gallery.

Rebecca Salter studied at Bristol Polytechnic and then Kyoto City University of the Arts. Having lived in Japan for many years, she researched Japanese woodblock printmaking and became an expert in editing on this subject. His interest in printmaking and its techniques is often combined with his main practice of painting and drawing.

Salter's works are the result of process-based experimentation. These are highly detailed gestural abstractions that emphasize the layering and interaction between marked and unmarked space. Rebecca Salter has been the (first) female President of the Royal Academy of London since 2019.

Sophie Bouvier Ausländer's starting point is our planet, which she sees as a sculpture, shaped by humanity. In his Radar series, the artist covers maps with wax and paint and then subjects them to different modes of digging and revealing, reflecting our world, its state and its transformations.

Barbara Nicholls' watercolours reflect a deep-rooted fascination and concern for nature and its elements. Nicholls experiments with this traditional medium to decode geological evolution in a process oscillating between chance and measured control, emulating the forces of our planet, mixing nature and its manipulation by man.

Thomas Müller's gestural drawings draw on the subconscious. Drawn on new or recurring media, sometimes minimalist or expressive in their composition, whether purely intuitive or structured, they form complex organic and experimental arrangements and capture the natural changes that shape our world.

Alice Quaresma creates experimental photographic works that embody what informs Quaresma's personal and artistic narrative: photography, the experience of immigration, the Brazilian neo-concrete movement, poetics and philosophy. Taking photographs of natural landscapes from his personal archives, the artist reworks them and adds graphic elements to infuse these images with new meanings.

Susan Schwalb is one of the leading figures in the revival of the ancient technique of metal-point drawing. The American artist pushes the medium to new levels and translates it into a contemporary aesthetic. We will present works from the Burnt Drawing series, which represents a radical change between his early figurative drawings and the later more geometric series, continuously exploring the possibilities of metal-point drawing.

Eric Cruikshank takes landscape as the starting point of his practice. However, Cruikshank's works are not literal presentations; The focus is on the emotional qualities of the place. Using an objective palette related to the Scottish landscape, colour acts as a vehicle to reveal the underlying reference points of the image plane.

Diogo Pimentão is best known for his experimental works on paper. Using primarily paper and graphite, sometimes in combination with charcoal, wood, and concrete, Pimentão constructs designs and forms emerging from drawings that merge and challenge the boundaries between drawing and sculpture.
