« The fourth edition of the contemporary drawing fair was for us the best one of all. The new venue at the Carrousel du Louvre showed itself to be an excellent choice. It is the third time we have participated in the Fair and this event is becoming increasingly interesting for us as a bridge towards the French drawing market to strengthen our relations with the French institutions and collectors. We look forward to returning in 2011. Having a very good reputation outside France, where a large number of curators and drawing collectors observe the Fair with great interest and enthusiasm, we hope that the Fair will see an increase in the number of non-French galleries. »

« The fourth Contemporary drawing fair was held at the Carrousel du Louvre; on the opening day, participants had the pleasant surprise of seeing a significant attendance of art-lovers, who had no hesitation in deciding as they discovered the exhibition. In my opinion, the event demonstrated a good overall result. The majority of exhibitors made an effort to optimise their presentation, thus making it easier to understand their exhibition areas. There was a good atmosphere and there is no doubt that new galleries will quickly knock at the fair’s doors and inject their energy into this highly promising new adventure. »

« The Contemporary drawing fair, in which the gallery was participating for the 3rd time running, is above all an opportunity for us to have a window in which to exhibit works that we almost never manage to integrate into the gallery’s programme, due to our location which is more conducive to installations or more demonstrative pieces. Additionally, the Fair allows us to highlight the close relations we have with the artists through the one-man-show. This year, we showed a collection of works by Bruno Carbonnet, entirely produced in response to his invitation last autumn; we are very happy to have been able to realise this as his work had not been presented in Paris for some time. Furthermore, his pieces were almost completely acquired over the first two days. The Fair, and fairs in general, must remain in line with our policy of following artists: this is of primordial importance. »

« For our first participation in the Contemporary Drawing Fair, we proposed a monographic stand based on the work of Pierrick Naud, bearing in mind that a one-man show can be a risky business... We were very happy to see the warm reception given to this project: Pierrick’s rich and multiform work was well received by the public and art-lovers. Art-lovers considered the Fair to be of a very high artistic standard and it gave us a high degree of visibility, both for our gallery and the artists we represent. The Fair’s location at the Carrousel du Louvre contributed to institutionalising the event and increasing the level of quality. The organisation was remarkable with a very collaborative working atmosphere between the galleries. We very much hope that our application will be accepted next year. »
